Gerson's Story
Living Location: Bogotá D.C.
Gerson Leonel Lozano Grisales is a testament to strength and resilience. Since birth, he faced a setback as the fluids in his little head did not circulate correctly, which caused it to start growing. Fortunately, doctors detected the situation in time and performed a surgery to place a shunt valve, which he has had ever since.
Throughout his journey, he has also needed surgeries on his ribs and his little feet, especially on his left foot, as he experienced difficulties in its development. However, thanks to the care, love, and unconditional support of his grandparents and aunts, Gerson has progressed very well.
Today, he is a fighter, a go-getter boy who enjoys studying and also helping with household chores, demonstrating his bravery and desire to move forward every single day.
