Jordan is a 9-year-old boy who lives with his family in the city of Cartagena. His story has been marked by bravery, perseverance, and the unconditional love of those who accompany him every day in his process.

At the age of 4, signs began to appear that worried his family: frequent falls, difficulty climbing stairs, and a physical fatigue that did not seem normal for his age. After multiple consultations and medical studies, he received a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic disease that causes progressive weakening of the muscles and, over time, increasingly limits his mobility and independence.

Five years have passed since the family received this news. Since then, Jordan has had to face numerous medical procedures, specialized checkups, and constant challenges related to the progression of his condition. Currently, due to difficulties in the continuity of his care, he is left without access to therapies, a situation that deeply worries his family, since every day that passes represents a risk of greater muscle weakening.

His mother, Angie Carolina, is the one who leads much of his daily care. Despite economic difficulties, she continues to perform exercises, massages, and stretching at home to help maintain Jordan’s mobility and provide him with the best possible quality of life. The household is sustained through constant efforts, occasional jobs, and the support received from the boy’s father for his maintenance.
